Police report a shooting in Culmore

[Updated Nov. 6] A man was shot today, shortly before 5 p.m., in the 3300 block of Glen Carlyn Drive in the Culmore area of Bailey’s Crossroads, the Fairfax County Police Department reported on X.

The victim had two gunshot wounds to the upper body. He was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

Two suspects were seen running from the area wearing all black clothing and armed with handguns. Detectives believe there was a fight between the victim and the two suspects before the shooting. The shooting does not appear to be a random act.

  1. The community knows who are the bad actors, but does nothing. The property managers knows who they are but I only ignore and people wonder why. It’s getting worse.

  2. We need more police officers in my area PRONTO! I am sick of violent shooters rampaging the area and hurting/killing innocent people’s lives here! Those criminals must be captured and put behind bars FOR LIFE!!!
