Ravensworth Road to close at night, 9/25-26

Ravensworth Road between Braddock Road and Little River Turnpike in Annandale will be closed to through traffic, weather permitting, from 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 25, to 5 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 26, VDOT announced.

During that period Fairfax Water is carrying out a water main replacement project.

Those needing to reach properties along Ravensworth Road will have access. However, drivers and bicyclists will not be able to go beyond the point of pipe replacement (located between Carmine Street and Davian Drive) in either direction. Pedestrian access via the path on the west side of Ravensworth Road will be maintained.

Through traffic will be detoured via Ravensworth Road, Braddock Road, Backlick Road, and John Marr Drive back to Ravensworth. Detour signs will be posted.
