‘Restaurant: Impossible’ show on Foxfire Grill to air Jan. 23

Foxfire Grill, after the makeover.

Updated Jan. 12: The episode of “Restaurant: Impossible” featuring the Foxfire Grill will air Jan. 23, 9 p.m., on the Food Network. The episode is called “New Roles, New Results.”

The Foxfire is staging a reservation-only watch party, but it’s already sold out. They are taking names for a waitlist.

“Restaurant: Impossible” centers around host Robert Irvine’s efforts to rescue a failing restaurant. His crew, with the assistance of local volunteers, upgrades a restaurant’s interior and menu, with the goal of attracting more customers. The work is typically done in one day with a budget of $10,000. Scores of local
volunteers helped out at the Foxfire makeover in September.

After the one-day Restaurant: Impossible event, the Foxfire Grill had a totally new look with a new color scheme, while the staff gradually incorporated new menu items.

The restaurant, at 6550 Little River Turnpike in Pinecrest Plaza, has an Alexandria address but is in Mason District.
