Restaurant to open in former bank building

This former Wells Fargo building is getting a major makeover.

The operator of a food truck is developing a restaurant in the former Wells Fargo Bank branch at 4260 John Marr Drive in Annandale.

Basim Mansour, one of the co-owners, said he hopes to open in June. He asked us not to reveal the name of the restaurant or the type of food, only that it will have a unique concept.

“The food truck has a massive following on social media,” Mansour says. It has 1.2 million followers on Instagram. The Annandale restaurant is their first brick-and-mortar project. “It’s really going to be crazy when we open. There will be massive lines.”

They’re also planning to open restaurants in other locations, including the Skyline area, Potomac Yards, the Huntington area on Route 1, Georgetown, and a D.C. food hall.

  1. Is it going to be that food truck where you bring a bag of chips and they dump the taco fixing into the bag for you?

    1. I’m glad the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors didn’t let another Smoke and Vape shop move into that building.

  2. The restaurant is flavor hives , I’ve seen their food truck parked there and since the co owner said they have 1.2 million followers on ig , if you go on flavor hives ig page they have 1.2 millions

  3. It’s probably Flavor Hive (has 1.2 million followers). If not, I still wish the best for any new business.

  4. Hmmm. Wonder why the type of restaurant is such a secret? Seems like the owner would want it out there if it’s so intriguing…..

  5. Thank goodness it’s not another Korean restaurant! It sounds like it might be middle eastern or a fusion.

  6. I wonder how parking will work here, Flavor Hive will definitely draw crowds and there is barely any parking there, made for a bank.

  7. I just want to know, if they will leave the pneumatic tube thingy operational for a drive thru. Send me my food through the tube!!!

  8. This morning (3/19/25) I drove by there , and there were a couple of Flavor Hive trucks parked at the site.
So, I’m not saying it’s definitely Flavor Hive, but maybe the brick and mortar location will be called “Flavor Hive” & the food trucks will be renamed to “Flavor Swarm”?

  9. Not sure about the food but this store is being run by Drew Kellogg (President of Flavor Hive) who had previously been accused of fraud in connection with Oath Pizza franchise business that went bankrupt. I worry about the employees and vendors if he is involved again.
