Summer camp registration open for Hidden Oaks Nature Center

Registration is now open for summer camps at Hidden Oaks Nature Center in Annandale. Capacity is limited to 12 children per session. All camps are held outdoors.
There are lots of options. Register here.
Outside is the Best Side: Outdoor adventuring in forest and stream habitats with live critters, crafts, and hands-on discovery. $205. All sessions are 9 a.m.-noon and are for ages 5-9. Here’s the schedule:
- July 12-16 – Wildlife Rangers
- July 19-23 – Dinosaur Days
- July 26-30 – Native American Survival Skills
- Aug. 2-6 – Wildlife Rangers
- Aug. 9-13 -Native American Survival Skills
- Aug. 16-20 – Dinosaur Days
Dinosaur Days Camp: Become a junior paleontologist, unearth fossils, make crafts, and play games. Ages 4-8; $205. Sessions are scheduled for these dates:
- June 7-11 – 9 a.m.-noon.
- June 7-11 – 2-5 p.m.
- June 21-25 – 9 a.m.-noon.
- June 21-25 – 2-5 p.m.
Hidden Treasure Pirate Camp: Dress up like a pirate for camp and follow clues to search for natural treasures in the park. Campers make their own treasure chest, sail boats in the stream, and meet live animals. Activities include puppet shows, toasting treats at a campfire, and playing games like “Avoid the Shark” and “Walk the Plank.” Ages 4-8. $205.
- June 14-18 – 9 a.m.-noon.
- June 14-18 – 2-5 p.m.
Reptile Rangers Camp: Learn about cold-blooded creatures such as snakes, turtles, and frogs. Activities include hikes, arts and crafts, games, and animal encounters. Ages 4-8. $205. This camp is June 28-July 2 – 2-5 p.m.
If there is more interest, Hidden Oaks might schedule more sessions, and if the COVID-19 safety protocols change, more campers could be added per session.
Registrations canceled due to illness and requested prior to the program start date can be refunded without a cancellation fee.
