Police make an arrest in Food Star shooting
Fairfax County police arrested a man for a shooting inside the Food Star grocery store on Route 7 in Bailey’s Crossroads. Harvey Coleman, 33, of Arlington was charged with two felonies.

A man told police he shot someone in self-defense. The victim was taken to the hospital with injuries considered life threatening.

The 6000 block of Knollwood Drive. A woman was sexually assaulted during an early-morning burglary Oct. 14 in the 6000 block of Knollwood Drive in Bailey’s Crossroads. According to the Fairfax County Police Department, officers responded at 5:10 a.m. for a report of a man inside an apartment.
