Taste of Annandale features music and dance
The Taste of Annandale will feature a packed entertainment schedule all day.
The Taste is a free community festival on Sept. 21, 10:30 a.m.-6 p.m., at 7200 Columbia Pike.
The lineup hasn’t been finalized yet, but here’s a preview of the expected performers:
- Vietnamese martial arts presented by Ka’s Karate.
- The Potomac Harmony Chorus, a female barbershop group.
- The Vietnamese dance group AnPhoGettable presented by the Asian American Community Center.
- Bboys Unlimited break dancers.
- A lion dance group.
- The Fidgety Feet lindy hop dance troupe.
- Martial arts by a Korean Taekwondo team.
- A Korean street dance performance.
- A traditional Indonesian dance group.
- K-pop by a high school dance team.
- A performance by International Dance, a dance studio opening in Annandale.
- A Bolivian dance troupe.
- The King Bees rock band.
The pet parade and costume contest will be at 2 p.m. The chili cookoff – the Mason Police District vs. the Annandale Volunteer Fire Department – will be at 3 p.m.
Mason District Supervisor Andres Jimenez is scheduled to speak at 10:50 a.m. Board of Supervisors Chair Jeff McKay and Del. Vivian Watts will deliver brief remarks at 12:30.
