  1. It seems to me that most drivers in Virginia have no concept of speed and distance or right of way. They drive as if they are in their native country. Until the Commonwealth makes it harder to get a drivers license then deaths will continue.

    1. Making a drivers license harder to obtain is not an option for the Commonwealth. There is no viable alternative to driving. People need to be able to legally drive in order for society to function. We are in a situation where we must accept these deaths as a cost of our transportation infrastructure.

    2. What makes you think it’s just the foreigners that are bad drivers? I’ve seen plenty of “native” MFers like your ignorant self have no respect for the law and drive like reckless maniacs.

    3. Unless you are “native” American, then this isn’t your native country. There are hardly any native Americans around here, so basically almost all drivers in NoVA are not in their native country.

  2. Yep – I was born in America – therefore I an a Native American – progressives – please re-locate to North Korea where the ruling party agrees with you

  3. Some people are assuming too much. What makes you assume they weren’t wearing seat belts or it’s cuz they are foreign. How about they were elderly and succumbed to the impact

  4. Making it harder to get a driver’s license’s is a stupid comment, that’s not the issue. The problem is the lack of attention on the roads and the risk that are being taken. It’s not a roads issue either. Since I have started back to working from the office as of Jan 2nd 2024 full time, I have almost been in two very serious accidents by “stupid not paying attention I’m the only person on the road” Drivers. Until drivers wake up and start caring more about other drivers and that lives are far more valuable than getting to where ever they need to get to, I see no hope in this issue getting any better.
