Two people shot in Bailey’s Crossroads

Two people were shot in Bailey’s Crossroads in the early hours of Jan. 5, the Fairfax County Police Department reported.

The incident occurred in the 6000 block of Glen Carlyn Drive. The two victims were taken to the hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.

In other police news, detectives with the Crash Reconstruction Unit are investigating a motorcycle crash at Leesburg Pike and Patrick Henry Drive Jan. 4. The driver was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

  1. Is Mason District turning into the Wild West or is it just because we have more & faster & more widespread news of incidents so it seems that way?

    1. It’s not just mason district. Violent crime is up in general. Those in office will try to say “crime is down” to try to combat the narrative and talk about how fairfax is the safest jurisdiction of its size… blah blah blah… but that is the overall crime statistics… violent crime has been spiking since the pandemic.

      So, don’t necessarily feel like our area in particular is going to shit. Everywhere is going to shit. It’s an equal opportunity shit show. (I’m using hyperbole to have a little fun… i actually don’t think things are going “to shit”, though i do think the crime situation needs to be addressed better than it has been).
