  1. This is the problem with politics today. Too many interest groups getting involved. It is an indirect bribery: Politicians promising special benefits to the interest groups for votes.
People should vote on candidates who can benefit EVERY citizen as a whole, with issues like –
Traffic, Creating business/commerce/jobs, Education, Efficient use of Taxes, Tough on crime/illegals, Promoting a sense of community, etc.
These examples will benefit EVERYONE, and not divide us within interest groups, age, race, class, etc.

  2. You will notice most of the groups (personal endorsements aside) heaping all of these endorsemnets on are liberal or way left of center don't you? That is how they buy influence, and once elected, these folks rack up the public debt by giving away free services with other people's money and they all look like "good people."

  3. Totally agree. I understand we need basic public services (roads, police, schools, etc.) With our taxes used efficiently, these should be provided properly. However, when interest groups, unions, lobbyists & politicians get involved, it lays the ground for corruption, self-interest, spending like there's no tomorrow, & politicians using taxpayers money for their own personal purpose.
