Annandale neighborhood hosts an Earth Day cleanup

The Hillbrook-Tall Oaks community is a lot nicer, since the Annandale neighborhood held an Earth Day cleanup on April 18.

Thirty-one dedicated volunteers, with help from Clean Fairfax and the Fairfax County Solid Waste Management Program, collected 24 bags of trash and recyclables from neighborhood streets and the grounds of Poe Middle School.

“This effort reflects our community’s strength and what neighbors can accomplish when they come together with a shared purpose,” the Hillbrook-Tall Oaks Civic Association reports.
