If Little River Turnpike looks a little cleaner, it’s thanks to the Annandale Toastmasters Club

Since the group adopted a section of the roadway in Lincolnia in 2019, members have collected many bags of litter during cleanup events, most recently on Nov. 7.

Anyone interested in improving their communication, public speaking, and leadership skills is invited to join the Annandale Toastmasters. The group meets on Zoom on the first and third Thursday of the month at 7:30 p.m. The next meeting is Nov. 18.

Since he joined the Annandale Toastmasters Club six years ago, “it completely changed my life,” says Eugene Girshtel, vice president of public relations. “Through Toastmasters, I found my long-lost public speaking confidence. I enjoy helping others find their own voice.”

Everyone is invited to give Toastmasters a try. Guests can join the Zoom call and participate in the impromptu speaking portion of the meeting. For more information, contact [email protected].
