Childcare center approved for Little River Turnpike in Lincolnia

The future home of the Kingdom of Children Bilingual Preschool.

The Board of Supervisors approved a zoning special exception last week for a childcare facility with up to 36 children in Lincolnia.

The Kingdom of Children Bilingual Preschool would be located in a former single-family house built in 1948 at 6481 Little River Turnpike next to Cherokee Avenue.

The building, currently vacant, had housed a childcare center for a number of years after a permit was approved for that use in 1999. That permit expired when the operator changed, so the Kingdom of Children applicant, Maria Del Pilar Soto Martinez, had to apply for a new special exception.

Martinez agreed to provide a vehicle-turning area in the parking lot and add landscaping. The property will have seven parking spaces. Access to the site will be on Cherokee Avenue. There will be no changes to the building.

  1. More traffic on a little road that doesn’t have the room. These individuals that run this county are not talented and must be replaced.
