DHS urges Fairfax County to detain murder suspect

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security issued a statement on March 31 urging Fairfax County not to release murder suspect Anibal Armando Chavarria Muy.
Chavarria Muy was arrested by Fairfax County Police on March 29 for fatally stabbing a man in the Culmore area of Bailey’s Crossroads. He is being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center without bond.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement lodged an arrest detainer directing “Fairfax County sanctuary politicians” not to release him.

“Anibal Armando Chavarria Muy, a criminal illegal alien from Guatemala, was charged with second-degree murder after repeatedly stabbing a man to death in Fairfax County,” said Acting Assistant Secretary of DHS Lauren Bis.

“This incident comes just one month after an innocent woman was murdered by another criminal illegal alien at a bus stop” in Fredericksburg, Bis said. “Open-border policies yet again have caused another preventable tragedy.”
Annandale Today reached out to the Sheriff’s Office for a response. According to Communications Director Allyson Conroy, “The Sheriff’s Office is committed to the safety and security of our diverse community.”
“We regularly receive detainers from ICE when undocumented individuals are booked into the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center,” Conroy said. “As required by statute, whenever an undocumented person is booked into the Adult Detention Center, ICE is notified that the person has been taken into custody. The Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office does not obstruct or prevent ICE from acting on their civil detainers.”
Did he allegedly murder somebody because of his status in this country or did he allegedly murder somebody due to severe mental illness and a lack of treatment? How did his status affect this outcome? And for a year now they’ve been deporting every single person they can in closing the border supposedly. Shouldn’t they take responsibility for this?
