Discussion series will explore ‘the evolution of Fairfax County’

What’s the future going to look like for Fairfax County? Board of Supervisors Chair Sharon Bulova invites  county residents to a three-part free series of discussions in June on “the Evolution of Fairfax” to explore “where we are, where we are going, and where we want to be.”

The series, sponsored in partnership with the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce and the Fairfax County Federation of Citizens Associations, will take place on June 13, 20, and 27, 7:30 p.m., at the Mason Inn and Conference Center, 4325 Mason Pond Drive, Fairfax.
On June 13, the  panelists will look back at the last 40 years of land use trends, patterns of development, and community building in Fairfax County. The June 20 session will focus on the revitalization of commercial centers, the redevelopment of Tysons Corner, and the rise of transit-oriented development. At the last session, on June 27,  there will be a keynote speaker, not yet identified, followed by breakout sessions where participants will explore possible options for the future of Fairfax County.
If you’re interested in attending, RSVP to 703/324-2321 or email the chairman
