In-person early voting in the Democratic Primary is available beginning today at the Mason Government Center, Thomas Jefferson Library, and other satellite locations.

The Democratic Primary is June 20. The Republicans are not holding a primary.

Offices on the ballot include Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, members of the General Assembly, and countywide offices.

The election is critical for Mason District, as voters will pick the next member of the Board of Supervisors to succeed Penny Gross, who has served on the board for 27 years. As Mason District is heavily Democratic, whoever wins in the primary is expected to win the general election in November.

Four candidates are running for Mason supervisor:

  • Jeremy Allen, an aide to Rep. Don Beyer.
  • Andres Jimenez, an at-large member of the Planning Commission.
  • Steve Lee, a businessman who owns several commercial properties in Annandale.
  • Reid Voss, a member of the board of the Lake Barcroft Association.
