Early voting underway for Democratic Primary

Early voting is underway for the June 20 Democratic Primary.

For Mason District/Annandale voters, these candidates will be on the ballot:

Any registered voter can vote. The deadline to register is May 30. The last day to request an absentee ballot is June 9. The last day to vote early is June 17.

Early voting is available at three locations on weekdays: the Fairfax County Government Center in Fairfax (8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.), the Mount Vernon Government Center in Alexandria (1-7 p.m.), and the North County Government Center in Reston (1-7 p.m.).

Another 13 early voting sites will open on June 10, including the Mason District Government Center on Columbia Pike and the Thomas Jefferson Library on Arlington Boulevard. These sites will be open 1-7 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturdays.

The Fairfax County Democratic Committee is holding an open caucus to select which candidates to endorse for the school board and Northern Virginia Soil and Water Conservation District.

Voters who have registered with the committee by the May 5 deadline will be able to vote online in the endorsement caucus from May 13 through May 20.

In-person voting for the endorsement caucus will take place from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. on May 20 at five locations across the county, including the Braddock District Office at 9002 Burke Lake Road in Burke and the Fairfax County Democratic Committee office at 8500 Executive Park Ave., #402 in Fairfax.
