The Fairfax County Department of Transportation is proposing two restriping projects in the Annandale/Mason District in coordination with VDOT’s 2027 repaving program.

These include:

  • New bike lanes on Heritage Drive in Annandale between Heritage Woods Way and Four Year Run Drive.
  • A proposed crosswalk improvement at S. 14th Street and Leesburg Pike in Bailey’s Crossroads.

FCDOT is hosting a virtual meeting on those and other proposed restriping projects in the Braddock District on Nov. 5, 7 p.m. Join the meeting on Microsoft Teams. Visit this page for other ways to access the meeting.

A survey will be available after the meeting with comments due Nov. 19.

“By presenting the proposals well in advance of the 2027 repaving season,” FCDOT says, the agency “aims to gather community feedback and finalize striping proposals for VDOT consideration and approval.”

VDOT usually doesn’t post its annual repaving plans until late winter.
