Free EV charging stations installed at Annandale Giant

Two Volta electric vehicle charging stations have been installed at the Giant grocery store on Columbia Pike in Annandale.

The EV stations offer free charging. Volta generates revenue
by charging retailers for space in their parking lots and by charging companies that advertise on
the high-definition displays on the charging stations. The ads are customized
for the retailer. For example, Giant can display ads highlighting sales on
certain items.

Giant started installing Volta EV stations at its stores in
mid-2020.
