Heritage Mission Center seeks donations

The Mission Center in Annandale encourages residents to donate items for struggling families.

The center, at 7901 Heritage Drive, hosts a weekly food distribution event, where volunteers also give out other needed household supplies. It’s run by volunteers from Annandale United Methodist Church.

Items most needed now include gently used children’s clothing, coats for all ages in all sizes, adult diapers of all sizes (they will take partially opened packages), brown paper bags with handles, and reusable grocery bags.

Donations can be dropped off at the Braddock District office, 9002 Burke Lake Road, Burke, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

For more information, contact Betsy Clevenger of AUMC, [email protected], or Irma Mejia-Lewis at the Braddock District office, [email protected], 703-425-9300.

The Mission Center also needs volunteers to help with the Thursday food distribution program. Sign up for a volunteer slot here.

  1. Annandale UMC does great work through it’s Mission Center. I hope the community is able to provide the donations they need.
