Infill development planned for Annandale

Six homes are planned for Travis Parkway.

One of the few remaining open green spaces in Annandale is slated for an infill development.

Premier Homes is planning to build six homes on Travis Parkway between Gallows Road and Thornton Street. Its a by-right project, so there wont be a public hearing.

The new development, called Oliver Estates will offer three floor-plan options, each with two or three elevations, says Ellen Argueta of Premier Homes. Prices would start at $1.5 million.

The design of the homes would be similar to homes built by Premier at Jonquil Court in Herndon and at 5705 Fisher Drive in the Pimmit Hills area of Falls Church, which was recently sold for $1.65 million.

Construction is expected to start in spring 2021, with delivery anticipated in September or October, Argueta says.

Residents of Travis Parkway are concerned that that sign announcing the new development indicates the two separate segments of Thornton Street would be connected. According to the sign, two of the new houses would be accessed from what is currently a footpath.
