KORUS brings Korean entertainment, food to Annandale

Korean pop star Dongha Jeong performs at the Korus festival.

The Kmart parking lot in Annandale was full yesterday, as people from across the DMV region enjoyed live entertainment and Korean food at the 17th annual KORUS Festival. There were many business vendors, a talent show, K-pop, and lots of politicians trying to connect with voters before the Nov. 5 election.

The biggest crowds came for the Saturday evening headliner, popular Korean singer Dongha Jeong.

Korus continues today until 9 p.m. And in case anyone needs reminding, there’s another big festival next weekend: The Taste of Annandale is Saturday Oct. 5, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., on Tom Davis Drive.
