Landmark Mall appears in trailer for new Wonder Woman movie

Landmark Mall, as seen in the “Wonder Woman 1984” trailer.

A bright and busy Landmark Mall will appear in the movie, “Wonder Woman 1984,” scheduled to be released June 5, 2020. See the trailer, released Dec. 8, here.

Filming took place at the vacant Landmark Mall in the summer of 2018, as the director sought to create a 1980s setting for the movie, which takes place during the height of the Cold War.

“Wonder Woman 1984” is a sequel to the popular 2017 movie, “Wonder Woman,” based on the DC Comics superhero.

Both movies star Gal Gadot and Chris Pine and were directed by Patty Jenkins. Kristen Wiig is back as the villain Cheetah, as is Pedro Pascal as sinister businessman Maxwell Lord.

The Howard Hughes Co. is working on plans to redevelop the Landmark Mall site into a mixed-use town center.
