Man accidentally runs over, kills his wife
A man backing into his driveway struck and killed his 73-year-old wife in the 6300 block of Lakewood Drive in Mason District at about 5:45 p.m. on Feb. 22, the Fairfax County Police Department reports.
Catherine Ann Balsis was pronounced dead at the scene. Her husband reported that his wife got out of his 2006 Toyota 4Runner to help him back the car into the drive. He lost control of the car as he reversed, hitting her, then hitting his home.
Detectives from our Crash Reconstruction Unit continue to investigate the circumstances that led to the crash, but do not suspect foul play. Alcohol was not a factor.
How awful. My heart aches for him.

There way too many drivers in our area that should not be on the road.
If you're not capable of operating a motor vehicle , please dont get behind the wheel.
It just cost this poor woman's life.
Unless you know this gentleman and the specifics of this unfortunate accident, you have no business making this statement. You are correct that there are people who should not be on the road, but it’s completely unfair to assume that’s the case here.
