Fairfax County Police arrested a Maryland man on Dec. 12 who had followed a woman to her home in Bailey’s Crossroads, assaulted her, and attempted to break into her residence.

On Dec. 8, Antiero Ebai Menyoli, 29, approached the victim in the parking lot as she left MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Md., at 12:30 a.m. They talked briefly, then the victim got in her vehicle and drove to her home in the 5700 block of Poplar Lane.

While driving, the woman noticed a vehicle was following her due to one headlight being brighter than the other.

She suspected it was Menyoli and attempted to lose the vehicle before she got home. As she walked to her residence, Menyoli approached her from behind and assaulted her.

She was able to break free and run inside the house. Menyoli followed her and broke a glass panel in the door to get inside. He was unsuccessful and fled the scene.

The victim did not know Menyoli before the incident. Detectives were able to identify him by reviewing surveillance footage.

Menyoli was taken into custody in Prince George’s County on Dec. 12, where he was charged with burglary, assault, and destruction of property. He will be extradited to Fairfax County.

  1. Watch this case. He’ll be out in no time, and back on the streets. Fellow neighbors will do well to consider how to ensure their personal safety when sends matter, and the police are minutes away.

    1. I’m sure he’s not a bad guy, he just made a mistake. We all make mistakes Sam. I’m sure he’s a contributing member to society like the rest of us.

  2. Talking to a stranger who approaches you at 1230 am? Then trying to dodge him when you see he is following you? Then leading him to your home?
