More essential workers eligible for COVID vaccine

The CVS in Annandale offers COVID vaccinations to people who registered with the Fairfax County Health Department.

Beginning today, April 5, individuals who live or work in the Fairfax Health District that fall into several occupational categories in Phase 1c are now eligible to register for a COVID-19 vaccination.

This includes people who work in energy; water, wastewater, and waste removal; housing and construction; food service; transportation and logistics; and faculty and staff in higher education.

Employees should be prepared to show some form of work-related identification or paystub as the vaccine appointment could be offered by one of the countys vaccine partners that may require an ID.

The Fairfax Health District includes Fairfax County, the cities of Fairfax and Falls Church, and the towns of Clifton, Herndon, and Vienna.
