New townhouse development going up on Edsall Road

The new Bren Pointe community.

Twenty-six homes have already been sold in the Bren Pointe townhouse project under construction on Edsall Road in Mason District.

The development will have a total of 92 homes, including five affordable workforce units, says Julie Dillon, marketing director for the developer, TriPointe Homes of Potomac, Md.

The model homes are expected to open in a couple of weeks; due to COVID, the models can be viewed by appointment only.

Tri Pointe reminds workers about proffer agreements on construction hours and parking.

Pricing starts in the mid-$600,000s, with lots of options for customization that will drive the price up.

The HOA fee is expected to be about $150 a month, which will include membership at the Bren Mar Swimming Pool on the other side of Edsall Road and a shuttle bus to Metro.Related story: Board of Supervisors approves Monticello Mews project on Edsall Road

The homes will range from 2,212 to 2,763 square feet. They will have two to five bedrooms, two-and-a-half to five-and-a-half bathrooms, and one-car or two-car garages.

Students who move in will attend Bren Mar Park Elementary School, Holmes Middle School, and Edison High School.

The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors approved a proffer condition amendment in 2016 to allow construction of the townhouse development. The project is the third section of Monticello Mews, which also includes the Jefferson Green townhouse condominium and the Isabella high-rise condo.
