Recent crimes: robbery and assault

The Fairfax County Police Department reports the following recent crimes in the Annandale/Mason District area:

Three men abducted and assaulted a man in the 3800 block of Millcreek Drive in Annandale on Aug. 17 at 8 p.m. One man displayed a handgun, and the victim was thrown into a vehicle. He was able to escape when the vehicle came to a stop. He was treated for injuries not considered life-threatening.

The Golden Road Health Center at 7540 Little River Turnpike in Annandale was robbed on Aug. 18 shortly before 1 p.m. A juvenile entered the business, took money, and ran away. Detectives were able to identify the juvenile from information left at the scene. He was arrested and charged with robbery.

The PNC Bank at 6950 Braddock Road in the Bradlick Shopping Center was robbed shortly before 4 p.m. on Aug. 15. A woman entered the bank, demanded money, and ran away. No injuries were reported.

A man was stabbed in the upper body during an argument with several juveniles shortly after 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 13 in the 6000 block of Argyle Drive in Bailey’s Crossroads. The victim was taken to a hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.

The Tobacco King store at 5520 Leesburg Pike in Bailey’s Crossroads was robbed shortly before midnight on Aug. 13. Two men entered the business; one displayed a machete while they both took merchandise. No injuries were reported.

Four men assaulted and took property from an individual in the 4900 block of Fran Place in Lincolnia at 4 p.m. on Aug. 13. The victim was treated for injuries not considered life threatening. This does not appear to be a random act.

A victim walking home in the 2900 block of Peyton Randolph Drive in Seven Corners at 2:30 a.m. on Aug. 14 was assaulted by several men. The victim and assailants likely knew one another. No injuries were reported.
