Maurice Anderson, the young man killed at the Build America Plaza parking lot in the Skyline area of Bailey’s Crossroads on May 7, is remembered as a caring son and brother.

A GoFundMe page set up by his sister, Danielle Anderson, on behalf of their mother and siblings, says Maurice, 24, of Washington, D.C., “always made sure his family and friends were taken care of.”

He is one of seven kids in his family, Danielle says, “but he was the one making sure the other six were always good no matter what.”

“Maurice was always the life of the party, laughing and joking,” she says, and he played multiple instruments.

The GoFundMe page seeks funds so Maurice will have “the proper funeral and burial the way he deserves.”

Fairfax County Police are searching for the shooter, who they’ve identified as Javon Antonio Reid, 32, of Maryland.
