Sleepy Hollow sidewalks project in the land acquisition phase

The minor sidewalk repairs underway on Sleepy Hollow Road near Fern lane are not part of the big project to fill in the missing links on the sidewalks along Sleepy Hollow between Bay Tree Lane and Castle Place.

The Sleepy Hollow Road Walkway Project is currently in the land rights acquisition phase. So far, just 6 percent of the needed land rights have been acquired, says project manager Mark VanZandt, of the Fairfax County Department of Transportation. That phase should be completed in June 2021. At that point, the construction phase will begin.
