UPDATED March 16: A woman was fatally shot in what Fairfax County Police believe is a domestic-related conflict in front of a medical office building at 3299 Woodburn Road on March 15, the Fairfax County Police Department reports.

The victim, an employee at that building, was later identified as Anesha Isaacs, 30, of Maryland. She called the police from inside her car at about 4:45 p.m. to say her ex-boyfriend was blocking her vehicle and she couldn’t get out of the parking lot.

He then shot her while she was on the phone with the dispatchers. Police arrived within minutes and found she was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced deceased.

Isaacs had a protective order against the suspect, later identified as Tylen Jennings, 30, of Maryland. He fled the scene, but police used license plate readers to determine he was heading to Maryland.

FCPD alerted the Prince George’s County Police Department, and they caught Jennings and took him into custody. Police recovered a firearm inside his vehicle.

Police charged Jennings with second degree murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, abduction, and violating a protective order. He is being held at Prince George’s County Correctional Center without bond as he awaits extradition back to Fairfax County.

The police investigation will look into their relationship and why she had a protective order.

  1. How on earth that everybody running with loaded Guns. That’s shows you how
irresponsable could be a Gun owners when they don’t get their own way.
STOP SELLING GUNS . No gun ownership except Police and Militery. I’ll say one more time out loud: STOP SELLING GUNS AND ALSO GIVE THE AUTHORITY THAT THE POLICE CAN STOP AND FRISK
NO MATTER WHO YOU ARE. Civilians dying, Police get harm or killed in the the line of duty. STOP SELLING GUNS.

      1. Oh no. Regardless of my name implies, that we cannot do.

The celebrities, the politicians, the wealthy (the 1%) they must be protected from the “crazies” (meaning “everyone else” if you must ask).

  2. The man’s name is Tylan Jennings, and he is armed and dangerous and was last seen fleeing the murder scene in a white SUV.

  3. OMG!!!!! I feel so SAD for this young lady’s FAMILY. This is terrible, I see now a legal restraining order does not protect!!! What can we do. This is horrible 😢 😞 .

  4. She obviously had a protective order for good reason but that does not stop an abuser from stalking the victim and committing a horrific act such as this. She attempted to do the right thing to ensure her safety but this, tragically, had fatal consequences. The most dangerous time for a victim of domestic violence is when she attempts to leave the situation which the abuser sees as taking away his power and control over her. My deepest sympathy to her family. May she RIP.

  5. Ugh fatally wounded right across from the hospital. Sadly, most vicious attacks like this are conducted by someone you know.

  6. I read a LOT in the headlines, local and national, this weekend about stories of men attacking women with guns.

  7. I feel bad for the victim, but the suspect is gonna spend the rest of his life in prison for murdering his ex and violating a restraining order. No exceptions.

  8. Jennings was in the US legally. He is an American citizen. I feel this is an important fact.
