Families invited to volunteer festival

Children work on crafts at a previous Kids Give Back Event.

Families are invited to Spring-it On, a volunteer festival and fundraiser April 30 hosted by Kids Give Back.

The event, 1-4 p.m., at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 8922 Little River Turnpike in Fairfax, features service projects, face painting, music, food, raffles, and games.

Families will have an opportunity to participate in the following service projects:

  • Filling 500+ snack packs for individuals in need;
  • Preparing gifts for senior citizens;
  • Decorating canvas tote bags for use with food distribution;
  • Potting plants for spring gardens; and
  • Making cards for first responders.

Kids Give Back is a nonprofit organization that provides volunteer opportunities for children age 6-12 and teaches kids the value of community service.
