Hot chicken restaurant to open in Annandale
A Crimson Coward is coming to Annandale.
The Annandale/Mason District area has a ton of chicken restaurants, and now we’re getting another one: Crimson Coward Nashville Hot Chicken is coming to the vacant storefront at 7004 Columbia Pike in the Annandale Shopping Center between Collector’s World and Sweet Frog.
Some of the items on the restaurant’s menu include “crimson chicken” (tenders, wings, or a boneless breast with bread and pickles), chicken sandwiches served in a brioche bun or tortilla wrap, fries, slaw, chicken and waffles, and fried pickles.
The chicken is prepared with a “crimson rub” consisting of dozens of spices. There are five levels of heat.

A date for opening the Annandale franchise hasn’t been announced. The store is being renovated.
The Crimson Coward chain was founded by Ali Hijazi in Downey, Calif., in 2019. There are now eight locations, including one in Woodbridge, Va. The company hopes to expand to 200 restaurants nationwide by 2027.
Crimson Coward will join a crowded field of chicken restaurants in Annandale. Hangry Joe’s, Wingstop, and Hot Lola’s opened this year, joining O My ChiQ, Chi-Mc, Chicken Loco, Pelicana Chicken, 92 Chicken, Chicken Pollo, Popeyes, and Chick-fil-A.

We may have several chicken restaurants already but Nashville Hot chicken is fantastic.

From list of chicken places you forgot to mention KFC. Not to mention that Wendys and McDonald also serve chicken samdwiches. Then you have the hispanic chicken places as well!!
