Man arrested for assault at hotels

Fairfax County police arrested a man on July 21 for assault following incidents at the Clarion Inn in the Falls Church area and another hotel in Springfield.

Officers responded to a burglary at 4 a.m. at the Clarion Inn at 6633 Arlington Boulevard, the Fairfax County Police Department reports. The victim said she woke up to an unknown suspect in her hotel room exposing himself. She screamed, and the suspect ran away.

Detectives identified the suspect as Eric Isler, 25, of Arlington, and obtained warrants for burglary with the intent to commit sexual assault and aggravated sexual battery.

Shortly after midnight on July 22, officers responded to the Comfort Inn at 6560 Loisdale Court in Springfield for an assault case. The victim reported that an unknown man forced his way into his hotel room, assaulted him, and stole items.

After canvassing the area, police located a suspect nearby matching the description. He was identified as Isler and taken into custody.

Isler was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, where he was charged with robbery and was served the outstanding warrants. He is being held on no bond.
