New Seven Corners restaurant will offer hot pot and Korean barbecue
There are plenty of Asian hot pot restaurants in the Annandale/Mason District area and even more Korean barbecue places. Diners will be able to have both at the K-Pot Korean BBQ & Hot Pot Restaurant coming to the Seven Corners Shopping Center.
Franchise owner Kevin Thang expects to open in a couple of months. The opening has been delayed due to plumbing issues, he says.
The building has been vacant since the Fortune restaurant closed in winter 2019.
K-Pot features an all-you-can-eat menu. Hot pot dishes are cooked at the table. Diners select a broth and choose from a long list of ingredients to add, including thinly sliced meats, seafood, vegetables, mushrooms, wontons, dumplings, tofu, noodles, spices, and much more.
Korean barbecue selections include beef, bulgogi, chicken, brisket, pork belly, shrimp, fish, vegetables, and many variations.
While there is a standard menu among the K-Pot chain, individual restaurants can add regional favorites. Thang plans to offer blue crab.
There are about 30 K-Pot restaurants, mostly on the East Coast, and many more in the works. Another K-Pot is coming to Fairfax.
Thang expects K-Pot will be open noon-11 p.m. seven days a week.
A sign on the window says the restaurant is hiring staff for all positions. Applicants should call 646-496-2923 or 917-373-9959.
Certainly would be nice to have a “Great American” restaurant on the other side of Seven Corners–route seven. Terrible that Saul raised the lease so high that “Dogfish Grill” had to leave.
I agree! dogfish Grill was a great place for lunch.
