Value City Furniture permanently closed

Value City Furniture shared a parking lot with the DSW shoe store.

Value City Furniture at 5516 Leesburg Pike in Bailey’s Crossroads permanently closed in late March.

All 89 Value City Furniture stores have shut down following the Chapter 11 bankruptcy of its parent company, American Signature Inc.

The company filed for bankruptcy due to “one of the most severe housing market declines in recent history,” according to a statement by Rudy Morando, co-chief restructuring officer for American Signature.

Morando also attributed the company’s collapse to a post-pandemic slowdown in consumer demand for furniture and rising costs resulting from inflation, tariffs, and high interest rates. Sales declined by nearly $150 million between 2024 and 2025.

According to a notice from American Signature, customers who placed a deposit on a product can track their order status here. If a customer paid a deposit and the company is unable to fulfill the order, the customer can file a claim.

Gift cards, returns, and exchanges are no longer accepted.

  1. Also their furniture is shit. High interest rates mean dumb people can’t afford this area. High interest rates price out dumbasses, even though inflationary pressure drives consumers to inferior goods.
