Patient First to open in October

Patient First, the primary and acute care medical on the corner of John Marr Drive and Little River Turnpike in Annandale, is nearing completion.

It will tentatively open to the public on Oct. 11, says Director of Medical Support Ileene Sanchez.

Patient First provides urgent care on a walk-in basis for non-critical emergencies like fractures, infections, cuts, and allergic reactions.

It also provides also provides primary care, treatments for chronic illnesses, women’s healthcare, occupational health, telehealth, sports physicals, and immunizations.

Patient First can do X-rays, Department of Transportation drug screening, cholesterol screening, and lab tests.

It will be open 8 a.m.-8 p.m. 365 days a year. It serves all ages, including infants.

Patient First takes all the major health insurance, Sanchez says, including Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross, UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, and Kaiser.

Patient First is next door to Hangry Joe’s.

The Richmond-based regional healthcare company has 77 locations in the Mid-Atlantic area, including Falls Church Fairfax, Alexandria, and Chantilly.

The Annandale Patient First location is in a stand-alone retail strip with four fast-casual restaurants. Wingstop and Hangry Joe’s have recently opened. Moby Dick House of Kabob and Jersey Mike’s should open soon.
