Judge Mark Simmons of the Fairfax County General
District Court found Wilfred Michael Stark III, the reporter who was arrested for causing a disturbance at the start of the Annandale parade Oct. 28 guilty
of disorderly conduct. Stark was fined $500. The judge found Stark not guilty
of resisting arrest.

the campaign of Republican gubernatorial candidate Ed Gillespie. A video by a
bystander shows Fairfax County police officers violently pinning him to the
ground after he refused to get out of the way.

Following the Feb. 13 court ruling, Fairfax County
Police Chief Edwin C. Roessler Jr. released this statement: “I am pleased with
the judge’s decision. I continue to stand behind the great men and women of the
Fairfax County Police Department who work diligently to keep our community
members safe every day.”
The incident is still under investigation by the
FCPD’s Internal Affairs Bureau.
