The KORUS Festival returns to Annandale

A large crowd watches a K-Pop show at the 2019 KORUS Festival in Annandale.

The KORUS Festival is coming back to Annandale this fall.

The 20th annual KORUS Festival will be held Oct. 13-15 in the K Market parking lot on John Marr Drive.

There will be live K-Pop bands, other music and dance performances, international food, a talent show, vendors, information booths, and kids’ activities.

KORUS is a celebration of Korean-American culture, although other groups will be represented, too. The name reflects the strong bond between South Korea and the U.S.

The three-day festival is expected to draw thousands of people from across the D.C. metropolitan region. The event is hosted by the Korean American Association of Greater Washington in partnership with other organizations.

The last time KORUS was in Annandale was in 2019. It was in Tysons in 2021 and 2022 and was not held in 2020 due to the Covid pandemic.

The festival hours are tentatively planned for 6-9 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 13, and 11 a.m.-9 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
