Farmers markets open in early May
Farmers market season is almost upon us. The Fairfax County Park Authority operates 10 markets. Including two in Annandale.

The Wakefield Farmers Market, in Wakefield Park next to the Audrey Moore Rec Center, is open 2-6 p.m. on Wednesdays, beginning May 3.
Vendors can only sell items they raise or produce on their farms or make from scratch.
When customers use SNAP (Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program) to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables at a farmers market, their benefits will be doubled.

Weekday markets are so frustrating for me! Couldn’t even really go before work being that they open at 8am. Do vendors get good foot traffic?
Yippy!!!!
The Annandale Farmers Market is wonderful! Thanks for publishing this reminder.
