Police seek burglary suspects

Fairfax County Police detectives are asking the public to locate the suspect responsible for the burglary of a plumbing supply store in the Alexandria area of Mason District and identify his accomplice.

A reward of up to $5,000 is available for information leading to an arrest.

On July 20, shortly after 5:30 a.m., officers responded to the 5600 block of General Washington Drive for a commercial burglary report. The complainant said two suspects forced entry into the business and took property.

Surveillance footage shows two masked men breaking into the business at 2 a.m. and stealing power tools and cash.

Police identified one suspect as Brian Serious, 29, of Maryland, who is believed to be responsible for other break-ins at that store on Dec. 16, 2024, and Feb. 19 and April 16, 2025.

Serious is also a suspect in multiple burglaries in Franconia, Merrifield, Chantilly, and Springfield. He has 25 active felony warrants tied to these cases.

Anyone with information about these burglaries or the whereabouts of Serious is urged to call the Franconia Police Station at 703-922-0889 and ask to speak with a detective. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Crime Solvers.
