After skipping a year due to the COVID pandemic, the Annandale Parade will be back in 2021. The parade will be Oct. 23,  starting at 10 a.m., the Annandale Chamber of Commerce announced.

The parade starts on Columbia Pike at the historic white church and ends up at the Bowlero bowling alley on Markham Street.

Anyone interested in participating in the parade will find entry forms on the chamber website. The registration fee is $250 for non-chamber members.

Instead of an individual, the chamber designated American Heritage Girls Troop 0894 from St. Michael’s Parish as the 2021 parade grand marshal.

The honor recognizes the troop’s extensive support for the community’s most vulnerable people during the pandemic. Among other activities, the girls collected 209 pounds of food for the Annandale Christian Community for Action Food Pantry and delivered face masks and food to the elderly.
