Honeygrow opens tomorrow at Barcroft Plaza

Honeygrow, a fast-casual dining spot in Barcroft Plaza, opens tomorrow at 10:30 a.m.

Honeygrow specializes in stir-frys, salads, and “Honeybar” desserts. It’s located at 6464 Lincolnia Road in the space formerly occupied by Chico’s Natural Pet Market.

The first 50 guests tomorrow will receive a free T-shirt. Customers will have a chance to spin a wheel for a prize throughout the day.

In addition, $1 dollar from every stir-fry purchased on Oct. 17 will be donated to the Capital Area Food Bank.

Here are some examples from the menu:

• Spicy garlic stir-fry – egg white noodles, roasted chicken, bell peppers, broccoli, red onions, pineapple, parsley, and spicy garlic sauce.

• Cold sesame noodle salad – egg white noodles, roasted shrimp, shredded cabbage, carrots, edamame, scallions, cucumbers,  jalapeños, pineapple, crispy onions, cilantro, and Asian sesame ginger dressing.

• Red coconut curry stir-fry – rice noodles, roasted tofu, pineapple, jalapeños, carrots, scallions, cilantro, and red coconut curry sauce.

• Apple pie – apples, roasted apples, streusel crumble, candied pecans, whipped cream, and wildflower honey.

Everything on the menu can be customized to make it vegetarian, and there’s also a “create your own” option with noodles or salad greens plus add-ons, garnishes, and sauce or dressing.

This is the seventh Honeygrow in Virginia. The others are in Springfield, Fairfax, Tysons, Alexandria, Fair Lakes, and Reston.

The company was founded by Justin Rosenberg in Philadelphia in 2012 with the goal of bringing people together over high-quality, wholesome, and simple foods made from fresh ingredients. 

The name Honeygrow reflects that vision – “honest eating and growing local.”
