Thieves have been stealing money from gaming machines or forcibly removing the machines from 7-Eleven stores throughout the county, the Fairfax County Police Department reports.

There have been six such incidents since Dec. 29, including three in the Annandale/Mason District area:

  • 8017 Braddock Road in the Ravensworth Shopping Center on Dec. 29, 8 a.m.
  • 6464 Lincolnia Road, Lincolnia, Jan. 12, 5:15 p.m.
  • 4818 Beauregard St., Lincolnia, Jan. 21, 11 a.m.

Tips about these crimes should be reported to the Major Crimes Bureau, 703-246-7800, or Crime Solvers, 1-866-411-TIPS.

The FCPD urges business owners to secure gaming machines and ATMs to the floor, ensure security cameras are working properly, and clear obstructions from front windows.
