Simpson-themed pop-up coming to Springfield
The Moe’s Tavern pop-up. [JMC Pop Ups LLC] A replica of Moe’s Tavern from “The Simpsons” is coming to (where else?) Springfield. The pop-up restaurant will be located on the lower level of Springfield Town Center next to the Macy’s entrance.
Carnival opens tomorrow at Landmark
The Super Himalaya ride [Dreamland Amusements] The carnival is coming back to the Landmark Mall site, Sept. 23-Oct. 3. Admission and parking are free. Tickets are $1.50 each, 20 for $30, and 50 for $60. A $35 wristband allowing unlimited rides is available for Monday-Thursday only.
Karaoke bar coming to Annandale
Glam Karaoke is coming to 4369 John Marr Drive, Annandale, in the new Eastgate Shopping Center that replaced the Kmart.

Granddaddy’s Skillet hosts comedy show
Granddaddy’s Skillet, the soul food restaurant at 5644 Little River Turnpike in Pinecrest Plaza, is offering live entertainment Friday, June 18, at 9 p.m. The Christian comedy show features Quincy, headliner Sean Sarvis, and host Miss Clareese. The show is $25, which includes a small plate, dessert, and beverage. Purchase tickets at the door.
Live summer concerts return in July
The Mason District Park amphitheater. The Fairfax County Park Authority’s free outdoor summer concert series is back this year, starting in July. The Spotlight by Starlight concerts include performances Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 7:30 p.m. and children’s shows Saturdays at 10 a.m. at the amphitheater at Mason District Park.
