Rice yogurt/mochi shop opens in Annandale
Yomie’s Rice X Yogurt and Mochinut Annandale, two separate franchise shops, are now open in the same space at 4367 John Marr Drive in Annandale. Yomie’s specializes in freshly made yogurt drinks. The mostpopular varieties are purple rice, mango, oat, and “haw,” made from hawthorn berries, says Lin Zheng, the manager of both operations.
BBQ restaurant coming to Annandale
 A new restaurant coming to the Bradlick Shopping Center in Annandale called Supreme Barbeque will offer such American favorites as pork ribs, pulled pork, smoked chicken, jerked chicken, and beef brisket. Co-owner Rafael Soriano hopes it will open at the end of December.Â
New restaurant will offer a taste of Nepal
A new restaurant called Spice Circle is expected to open in Barcroft Plaza by the end of the year or in early 2022. It’s at 6347A Columbia Pike – between Expedia Cruises and Paak Bazar – in a space formerly occupied by Curry N Tandoori.
New Middle Eastern carryout spot opens in Annandale
A Middle Eastern place, called Basil, has moved into the old New York Pizza Factory Plus space at 7254 Columbia Pike in Annandale. Basil had a soft opening last week, and owner Khalil Dib anticipates a grand opening in December.
Little River Turnpike improvements are part of Chik-fil-A project
This new road will lead to the drive-through window. Work is almost completed on a new turn lane from westbound Little River Turnpike into the Chik-fil-A under construction in central Annandale. The project also includes a new sidewalk, curb, and gutter in front of the restaurant.
Simpson-themed pop-up coming to Springfield
The Moe’s Tavern pop-up. [JMC Pop Ups LLC] A replica of Moe’s Tavern from “The Simpsons” is coming to (where else?) Springfield. The pop-up restaurant will be located on the lower level of Springfield Town Center next to the Macy’s entrance.
Sweet Frog coming to Columbia Pike, Annandale
